Anthony Miller
Anthony Miller was Chairman Emeritus of MacLaren McCann, one of Canada’s leading advertising and marketing communications companies. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the global parent, McCann Worldgroup, based in New York, and has held a number of senior positions in advertising agencies in both the United States and Canada for more than 40 years. Miller is a former chairman of the Canadian Institute of Communication and Advertising, a past chairman of the Young Presidents Organization (Ontario), and a member of the Chief Executive Organization. He also serves on the board of Care Canada.
Clifford G. Hunt
Cliff Hunt, is co-founder of YANGAROO and was Chairman of the Board for 13 years. Hunt is responsible for driving market penetration, focused on the Entertainment Division, and overall strategic development and planning for YANGAROO.
Prior to YANGAROO, Hunt spent over 25 years in the Music Business, working with some of Canada's most successful artists both domestically and internationally. Hunt has negotiated over 35 major International record deals and was instrumental in coordinating world-wide tours for his artists.
He began his career as a musician and recording artist, and then as an agent for Concept 376 Ltd., booking some of the top concert artists of the day such as, The Guess Who, April Wine, and Lighthouse. Hunt also launched and founded his own record production and management company, Hunt Management Inc. to develop, promote and manage numerous JUNO nominated and winning recording artists.
Hunt was also Associate Producer for the Canadian National Exhibition Grandstand Shows, which included some of the biggest names in show business from Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope to The Beach Boys, The Eagles, and Ray Charles.
Hunt has lectured at various Universities and Colleges, his writings have been published in Fortune Magazine/CNN, he is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, and currently sits on the Advisory Board of Linus Entertainment.
Gary Moss
Mr. Moss was previously Chief Operating Officer of IMAX Corporation (IMAX-NYSE) where he was responsible for global operations, strategic planning, corporate development and innovation in a high growth, results driven environment. His specific areas of responsibility were sales, marketing, theatre operations, technology, HR, strategic planning and post production. Implementation of company-wide policies and procedures (including the selection of SAP to replace out-dated systems), coupled with creative deal structures, resulted in record revenues and profit, particularly from emerging markets.
Moss was the lead business negotiator for cutting edge technology deal licensed from Kodak, which will enable competitive differentiation for the next generation of laser projection equipment.
Prior to IMAX, Moss was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Live Nation Artists, the successor to Concert Productions International (CPI), a major world-wide concert promoter. He was also Vice President of Finance with EMI Music Canada Inc. for nearly a decade, and Vice President of Finance with Sega of Canada Inc. Mr. Moss is a Chartered Accountant and received his Bachelors of Commerce from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
Howard Atkinson
Howard Atkinson, CFA, CIMA®, ICD.D, is a Director of YANGAROO. Mr. Atkinson is the President and CEO of Horizons Exchange Traded Funds Inc. He brings 25 years of investment management industry experience to the board, including executive positions with Mackenzie Financial Corporation, CI Funds and Barclay’s Global Investors Canada Ltd.
Mr. Atkinson serves on the Board of Directors of both Horizons ETFs and its subsidiary, BetaShares Capital Ltd., an Australian firm providing exchange traded funds under the “BetaShares ETFs” brand. In addition, Mr. Atkinson is Past President of the CFA Society and is a member of the S&P/TSX Canada Index Advisory Panel. In 2009, he achieved the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Mr. Atkinson is also the current chair of the Canadian ETF Association (CETFA,) an independent national association that represents and promotes the Canadian ETF industry. CETFA was founded by three leading Canadian ETF firms in May 201 and is the first organization of its kind in the world.
Gerald C. Quinn
Gerald C. Quinn is and has been President of The Erin Mills Investment Corporation since September 1989. Erin Mills is a substantial private venture capital company with a diverse investment portfolio. Prior to joining Erin Mills, Mr. Quinn served as a Senior Officer in Magna International Inc. and Barrincorp, both publicly traded companies, and he served as a Partner in the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. Mr. Quinn has been a Director of a number of public companies and is also a Director of a number of private companies in diverse industries. In addition, Mr. Quinn invests his own capital and acts as an investment advisor to emerging, diverse businesses.
Sander Shalinsky
Sander Shalinsky is the managing partner of Shalinsky & Company. He has been one of North America’s leading entertainment lawyers for almost two decades. As legal counsel, he has worked with every form of music client from major record labels, recording artists, managers, digital distributors to investors. Indentifying a need for administrative support to music business entrepreneurs, Mr. Shalinsky founded Entertainment Business Affairs (“EBA”) in 2008. EBA has since expanded to include similar support to some of the biggest names in the Canadian film and TV business. Shalinsky & Company has grown with its clients and now provides advice and counsel in corporate, securities and finance in addition to continuing to provide media law services. Mr. Shalinsky has spoken extensively regarding music, Law and media finance, and sits on several boards and steering committees in the Canadian music community.
